Tool containers and organizers
Looking for a clean and minimalist way to carry your service equipment on your rides? Tool bottles, often called "tool bottles" or basket boxes, are the perfect alternative to saddlebags or backpacks. Simply place them inside your second bottle basket and rest assured that your tools will stay safe, dry and in place.
Why choose a tool bottle instead of a pouch?
You'll love this type of organizer for several reasons:
Perfect protection: Unlike fabric bags, these containers are made of durable plastic, so your tube, multi-tool or CO₂ cartridges are 100% protected from mud, water and dirt.
Better aesthetics: If you care about the clean look of your bike, a tool bottle doesn't disrupt the frame lines like a saddlebag.
Quick access: Need to fix something? Just pull the container out of the basket, open the wide neck and you'll see all the contents right away. No more hunting for small items in a dark pocket under the saddle.
What can you fit in your organiser?
Although it may not seem like it at first glance, you can easily pack all the required equipment into a quality container:
Replacement tube and mounting levers.
Multi-wrench for minor repairs.
CO₂ pump with a cartridge or small glue.
A few coins for coffee or emergency cash.
To prevent the tools inside the bottle from rattling while riding over bumps, we recommend filling the free space with a piece of cloth (which you can also use when cleaning the chain) or choosing a model with internal padding.
Why should you choose a tool bottle over a pouch?
A tool bottle offers better protection from mud and water because it's made of sturdy plastic. Plus, it doesn't disrupt the aerodynamics and design of your bike like a saddlebag. If you're cycling between bikes, you can easily swap your gear bottle from one basket to another in seconds.
Will this container fit in your bottle basket?
Yes, the vast majority of tool containers have a standard diameter (approximately 74 mm), which is the same size as classic bicycle water bottles. They will fit into any standard bottle cage you have on your frame.
What can you really fit in a bottle like that?
It depends on the volume you choose (most often 500 ml or 750 ml). A standard 500 ml container will usually hold a spare tube, assembly levers, a multi-wrench and a small CO2 cylinder with a cap. Larger versions will allow you to pack, for example, a chain riveter, patches or a spare clutch.
