Helmets for mountain cycling have construction somewhat similar to road helmets. But they have some extras like a protective visor. They are also called cross country (XC) or MTB. Their construction has perfect ventilation, low weight and a high level of safety. When choosing a new helmet, it is crucial to pick the proper size and for the right discipline. Determine your size by measuring your head circumference (through the forehead). Manufacturers use different sizing (XS-XL or centimetres), so always check the size chart.
