I bought it for small items, as my under-saddle pocket is quite full of tools, a pump, a spare tube, etc. I wanted a pocket that didn't protrude too much from the frame. With a width of, I think, 4 cm, it's only slightly wider than the frame. So far, I've filled it with three Margots, keys, a cloth case for glasses, a hard case for wireless headphones (approx. 5x8 cm) and there's still room for a mobile phone and something smaller (e.g. tissues...). The biggest plus for me is the width, as it barely extends beyond the frame. When I stand on the pedals, I sometimes touch the pocket with my thighs, but it's not restrictive at all. It would certainly be the case with types that are wider and, for example, allow you to insert your mobile phone flat. The second plus for me is the side elastic bands, which allow you to attach some accessories. So far I've used it on a T-shirt when it got too hot. In the winter I can see it being used to attach thicker gloves.
