Our 7x(AIR) material combined with the cut of the Alpha jacket makes it an uncompromising winter jacket. A new standard of balanced flexibility, breathability and thermal insulation. Exclusive 7X(AIR) material from Castelli, using WindShear panels. Internal fleece thermal layer on the front part separated. Flip-up, extended collar with fleece collar fits well on the neck in any rider position. The inner cuffs and tight waist provide excellent insulation from the cold. Three outer back pockets and one front zip pocket. Tight aero cut. Elastic hem on the waist.

7X(AIR)
We use the best membrane materials on the market, but we still find ourselves wishing they were even more airy. That's why we developed the 7X(AIR). The basis is a completely waterproof and windproof top layer, which is quilted with a fleece bottom layer using the pleated technique. The result is an extremely flexible and wind-resistant material, while the needle holes of the stitching ensure optimal air permeability, thus enabling air exchange inside the jacket and at the same time the removal of excess moisture more effectively than with materials with an integral membrane.
It's actually even warmer because there's less unwanted airflow under the jacket. Isn't that a disadvantage? It is certainly not recommended for heavier rain, as water could penetrate through the perforation of the stitching, but the DWR finish will easily "deflect" a light shower. It is suitable for fitness trips of several hours, as well as for the world championship.
