SIGMA BC 1200 WL cycle computer

I bought this bike computer for my girlfriend last year (ie 04/2021)
After a year of use, her reactions are positive and briefly summarized:

+ Essential data for her (she doesn't need data for 2 bikes, nor an altimeter, GPS, nor calories, display backlight - she doesn't ride in the dark...)
+ Color and size design (it was a painful journey to choose the color and aesthetic suitable cycle computer)
+ Good legibility in direct sunlight
+ Simple operation (understand use during normal operation)
+ Thermometer
+ Sigma HW quality (didn't lose signal, didn't crash, problem-free)

- It can be a bit of a problem with the initial setting (nothing that a slightly more technically skilled person couldn't handle, especially you need to look at the instructions)
- manual "waking up" of the counter before driving

Kupoval som tento cyklopočítač pre priateľku minulý rok (t.j. 04/2021)
Po roku používania sú jej reakcie kladné a stručne zhrnuté:

+ Pre ňu podstatné údaje (nepotrebuje udaje pre 2 bicykle, ani výškomer, GPS a ani kalórie, podsvietenie displeja - nejazdí po tme...)
+ Farebné a veľkostné prevedenie (to bola strastiplná púť výberu farebne a esteticky hodiaceho sa cyklocomputeru)
+ Dobrá čitateľnosť na priamom slnku
+ Jednoduché ovládanie (rozumej používanie pri bežnej prevádzke)
+ Teplomer
+ Kvalita HW Sigma (nestratil signál, nepokazil sa, bezproblémové)

- S prvotným nastavením to môže byť trošku problém (nič čo by technicky trošku zručnejší človek nezvládol, hlavne treba pozrieť návod)
- manuálne "prebudenie" počítadla pred jazdou

- the problem was a bit with the speedometer setting - I had to google before I checked if I had set it up as it should be
- a clear positive is that it is wireless
- another plus is the display graphics (including functions such as setting the display intensity) and various speedometer functions
- very nice design, but it's a shame to have a slightly more "plastic" look (I thought the red band would be "at least" an imitation of metal) for such a nice tachometer
- every time you start driving, you have to press the black button to revive the speedometer from stand-by mode - I see this as a negative - but maybe it can be adjusted in the settings - I haven't checked yet
- overall, it works flawlessly and looks nice, so 5 stars

- jednoznacne pozitivum je, ze je bezdrotovy
- dalsie plus je grafika displeja (aj funkcia ako napr. nastavenie intenzity displeja) a rozne funkcie tachometra
- velmi pekny dizajn, je vsak skoda trosku "plastovejsieho" vzhladu (myslel som, ze cerveny pasik bude "aspon" imitacia kovu) na tak pekny tachometer
- vzdy ked clovek zacne jazdu treba stlacit cierne tlacidlo na ozivenie tachometra zo stand by rezimu - to vnimam ako negativum - ale mozno sa to da nastaveniach upravit - este som neskumal
- celkovo ale funguje bezchybne a vyzera fajn, takze za 5 hviezd

Do whatever you want
You need a pair of pliers to set it up, and after the initial understanding of the principle, it works well.
I didn't have a problem with attaching the sensor, but as it was written here, I wouldn't believe it on some uneven driving and attached it with something stronger.
According to the manual, the battery should last 3 years with 1 hour of driving per day.
The only thing that would improve it is some backlighting, but that's nonsense.

Na nastavenie treba sparatko a po prvotnom pochopeni principu sa stym pracuje dobre.
S uchytenim snimaca som problem nemal, ale ako tu bolo pisane, pri nejakej nerovnej jazde by som tomu neveril a uchytil to niecim pevnejsim.
Bateria by mala podla manualu vydrzat 3 roky pri 1 hodine jazdenia denne.
Jedina vec co by to vylepsila je nejake podsvietenie, ale to su uz blbosti.

I struggled a bit with the setting button as it is recessed and more sensitive than I expected, but after a bit of practice it went smoothly. Functionally, it fulfills everything I expected from the given model, the plus is the color combination and the slight disadvantage is the need to turn off "sleep mode" with the button before each ride, but you can get used to it.

Trochu som sa potrápil s tlačidlom nastavenia, nakoľko je zapustené a citlivejšie ako som predpokladal, avšak po chvíli cviku to išlo bezproblémovo. Funkčne spĺňa včetko čo som od daného modelu očakával, plusom je farebná kombinácia a miernou nevýhodou nutnosť pred každou jazdou vypnúť "sleep mode" tlačidlom, ale dá sa na to zvyknúť.

kúpil som synovi kt. už odpálil 2 drotove = problem vyriešený
vše funguje ako má, čo je dôležité prenos je bez straty signálu

Zistil som, že sa dá celý trip vynulovať jedným stlačením, len ho treba dlhšie podržať. Takže upravujem hodnotenie.

Už starší, ale vrámci potreby dobrý typ.

Excellent, easy to use and super cool. There is no problem even in minus temperatures. The batteries last about 1.5 years in both devices.
The only minus is that it will not be downloaded automatically, but you have to click on any button.

Vyborny, jednoduchy na obsluhu a prehladny. Nema problem ani v minusovych teplotach. Baterky vydrzia cca 1,5 roka v oboch zariadeniach.
Jediny minus je ze sa nepreberie automaticky, ale treba kliknut na ktorekolvek tlacitko.

Super designed holes for attaching eska tapes. It holds perfectly on the fork. Meets expectations.

Super riešené otvory na uchytenie eska páskami. Na vydlici drží perfektne. Plní očakávania.

Jednoduchý prehľadný maličký tachomenter, dnes už v trocha retro štýle a la Sigma. Kúpil som ho preto, lebo mám už dlhšie aj jeho drôtovú verziu na staršom biku a vyhovujú mi funkcie - základné funkcie bez zbytočného balastu a má aj teplomer, čo som chcel a čo nie je u lacnejších tachometrov samozrejmosť.
Dve hviezdičky som ale dal dole, lebo som bol nemilo prekvapený, že kým ten istý model drôtový má funkciu auto-start, táto identická, ale bezdrôtová verzia, to nemá. Trocha ma to zaskočilo, lebo som s tým akosi automaticky rátal a keby som to vedel, asi by som kúpil iný. Občas sa mi stane, že si zabudnem tachometer po kratšej prestávke na výlete znova zapnúť a prídem na to až po pár kilometroch. Trocha to naštve, ale na svete sú aj oveľa horšie veci

At first dry, after installing and turning the wheel, it seemed to work..., but nothing on the bike. I stopped several times, tried to change the position of the sensor, but nothing. I have the sensor attached with plastic tapes, so it definitely does not move, the diode on the sensor always flashes when it is cut (so it registers), but the pointer does nothing. Do you have any idea what it could be? Maybe it's some kind of model for advanced users and it works from 50km/ha and more =)))

Najprv nasucho po inštalácii a točení kolesa sa tvaril, že funguje..., na biku ale nič. Niekoľkokrát som zastavoval, skúšal meniť polohu snímača, ale nič. Snímač mám prichytený plastovými páskami, takže sa určite nehýbe, dióda na snímači pri pretnutí vždy blikne(takže zaznamená), ale ukazovateľ nič. Máte nejaký tip v čom to môže byť ? Možno je to nejaký model pre pokročilých a funguje až od 50km/h a viac =)))
