Yakima S55 wing-shaped roof racks minimize aerodynamic drag, ensuring they are completely silent at any vehicle speed and have virtually no impact on fuel consumption. This model is placed between the longitudinal roof rails, thus hardly increasing the height of the car. You can use Yakima S55 carriers all year round because they don't disrupt the appearance of your vehicle and are so quiet that you won't even notice them while driving. The T-slot for mounting accessories is covered on the inside and remains covered along its entire length, preventing annoying squeaking. Assembly and disassembly are very simple, with the only tool needed being an Allen key, which is hidden in the carrier's foot. Yakima S55 carriers do not require a mounting kit, except for the Mercedes GL X164 and VW Touran models.
