Yakima S52 roof racks with an aerodynamic wing-shaped profile are designed to be mounted between the longitudinal roof rails. They minimize noise and air resistance, therefore they practically do not affect fuel consumption or driving comfort and only negligibly increase the overall height of the vehicle. Thanks to this, you can drive with the racks all year round, without the need to dismantle them, even when entering lower garages, where there is often only a few centimeters of space left.
The integrated T-slot for mounting accessories is covered along its entire length to maintain the carrier's quiet operation even when driving without a load or with various equipment on the roof. The carrier is lockable for increased security and does not require a separate mounting kit. A practical bonus is the Allen key hidden directly in the base of the carrier, so you always have the necessary tools at hand during assembly and disassembly.
