CeramicSpeed UFO Speed KMC X12 Chain, 12-speed, 126 links
The CeramicSpeed UFO Speed Chain KMC X12 12S is a top-optimized 12-speed chain for road cycling, which thanks to a special wax treatment reduces friction and saves watts during races and intense training. The chain is pre-prepared at CeramicSpeed's headquarters in Denmark – thoroughly cleaned, run-in, and then treated with the UFO Speed WAX immersion process, which provides very smooth running and high drivetrain efficiency.
The wax used is completely biodegradable and non-toxic, verified by extensive laboratory and real-world testing, including use at World Championships and Grand Tours. The treatment provides an approximate saving of 2-5 W over a distance of 650 km compared to standard factory lubricant. After approximately 650 km, it is recommended to apply CeramicSpeed UFO DRIP All Conditions or Wet Conditions to maintain maximum chain efficiency. The treatment is not optimized for very wet and muddy conditions, so in such environments, the chain needs to be re-lubricated in time to prevent corrosion.
