SILCA waxing system

I have been waxing chains for more than 4 years. So far I have used a slow cooker. Its advantage is its lower purchase price, it can be larger, so I can dip two chains in one X. Disadvantage: you have to monitor the temperature so that the wax doesn't "test" (degrade it), which has happened to me several times, and of course, "dripping" the wax back into the container is not as easy as with the Silca.
If I had a slow cooker with precise temperature control, I would stick with it.
But if you don't have any "device" for waxing, I would recommend Silca, despite the slightly higher price. It's really more comfortable to work with and, most importantly, it won't ruin your wax. And last but not least, it looks good, which adds at least 4 watts to the chain's efficiency?

I had no previous experience with waxing. I only tried dripwax and that convinced me. It lasts forever and even longer when dry, not when wet, but in both cases it is only a gain compared to oil - easier cleaning and less dirt on the bike. The beginning is a bit of alchemy, but after two or three repetitions it is actually quite a pleasant ritual. Silca has really nice videos where the guy explains everything (but completely). Yes, the price is high, but in this case I got maximum quality and the chains are always prepared according to my wishes.

Until now, I always took the chain to the service center for waxing, but I thought I would try it at home. Therefore, I have no experience with a rice cooker, but I can say that anyone can do it with this one. The first melting took about 30 minutes, but otherwise it was great. Maybe someone will appreciate this tip - for small work with the wax, I used disposable chopsticks from an Asian bistro. It's a shame that only one chain can be hung at a time. The Dynamic melter had the option of three at a time in the photos. But it was unavailable.

I hesitated for a long time whether to buy this expensive original, but I don't regret it. Working with it is simple and easy, nothing spilled anywhere, no mess. Although for that price they could have included at least 2 cables so I don't have to wait with changing the chain while one cools down. Otherwise I have nothing to criticize. It heats up quickly, and holds a stable temperature nicely. And it doesn't give the impression of being cheap, I don't have to worry that when I plug it in it will burn out completely.

Really convenient. I set the exact temperature and don't worry. I look at the instructions for the wax and find out at what temperature its properties are destroyed and this thing slowly melts it and without the work and mess around with the wax, I wax my chain.

Max. satisfaction. Temperature regulation in 5 degrees. A little higher price, but no need to invent some hanging device for dripping wax. Easy handling

It works excellently, it really is better to wax than to grease. The chain and the entire drivetrain must be degreased and it shifts smoothly.

simple and functional. The chain is cleaner and the waxing lasts longer. I combine it with liquid wax.

The device is a little more expensive than alternatives, but the waxing is quick and the drip-free waxing is a great thing.

The price is overpriced for that casserole but it works well
