The Nova Ride MTB Ceramic bottom bracket provides lower rolling resistance and increases the smoothness of the bike's drivetrain, allowing for increased performance to satisfy even the most demanding cyclists. The threaded connection solution between the right and left cups developed by Nova Ride allows for perfect coaxiality - i.e. it facilitates the assembly, maintenance of the bottom bracket and increases the stiffness by connecting the two cups together, thus increasing the lifespan and smoothness of the bearings. Both aluminum cups are made from AL7075 aluminum alloy, subsequently CNC machined and anodized. The bearings feature high-precision ceramic balls made of silicon nitride. The main advantages of ceramic bearings compared to standard bearings are their longer lifespan, greater strength, lower rolling resistance, and excellent anti-corrosion properties. Their weight is approx. 60% lower, while being 7x stronger than steel balls. The seal used minimizes friction and protects the bearing against dirt ingress. The package also includes a wrench for mounting the left cup.
