It should be possible to fit it there, but will this be suitable for an MTB XC 29" wheel, with 2.1" plastic?
I'm looking for a lightweight alternative to the standard heavy tube in a bike like this, ridden on 90% asphalt.
Are these latex tubes also made with Schrader/auto valves?

Theoretically it should fit, since latex stretches well. But the data says till 28mm and a 2.1" tire is almost double. So the inner tire will be streched to the limit making it more fragile for pinchflats. In this case I would go for a true MTB latex inner tire
