I have mixed feelings. The pedals look great and the side for regular shoes is great. Large enough and holds solidly in regular shoes. The side with the cleat system is a nightmare for me. I rode classic Shimano SPDs for years and was used to being able to pedal them immediately and on any terrain. Maybe it's just me, but as long as I put my cleats on these pedals, it's a pain. On the flat it's ok, but on the terrain, especially when interrupting a descent on a steeper slope, it's almost impossible. Also, if I need to move from one place up to a slope on steeper terrain, it's really uncomfortable. Maybe it's just a matter of habit, or that they "run in" over time, but I'm seriously considering putting my 17-year-old SPDs back on, so I can have peace of mind and enjoy "civilian" use of the bike without cleats. Taking them off is fine.
