Liv Intrigue 2 29 women's bike

Intrigue 29 is built on an aluminum frame made of high-quality ALUXX SL alloy, thanks to which the frame is very light, but also sufficiently stiff and strong. It goes without saying that there is an internal bowden cable, and there is also protection of the frame in the most exposed places, i.e. on the down tube and the rear structure near the chain. The upper rocker arm of the suspension is made of carbon for higher stiffness and strength and at the same time lower weight.

Maestro suspension
The Maestro rear suspension provides 125 mm of travel, and the 140 mm travel fork works perfectly with it at the front. The Maestro system works on the principle of a virtual (floating) center of rotation of the rear structure, thanks to which the suspension is fully active and highly sensitive. At the same time, unwanted "bobbing" when pedaling is eliminated, so you don't lose energy and go smoother, faster and with less effort.

Adjustable geometry
Thanks to the so-called flip chip inserts located in the upper suspension rocker, you can easily adjust the geometry of the bike to best suit your riding style or the terrain you ride most often - two positions are available. For fast, "aggressive" terrain, the setting to the Low position is ideal (the fork is more laid), the setting to the High position creates a more XC-oriented riding position.

Level and quality of equipment

Light and occassional rides

The bike will fulfill its purpose, riding in the terrain will be a little more comfortable, but it is not built for frequent riding in difficult terrain. You have to expect heavier weight and regular tuning and maintenance of components.

Aluminium frame

Lighter, relatively durable and stiff material that is affordable. The most widespread material for the production of bicycle frames.

Hydraulic disc brakes

Reliable in all conditions, better modulation of the braking effect with the use of less force on the lever. Heavier weight, more demanding service.

Air fork

The best option in terms of weight and comfort. Provides more adjustment options (rebound, compression). Requires regular service - the service cycle is specified by the manufacturer.

Air shock

When buying a bicycle, it is necessary to set it to the required pressure according to the weight of the rider (specified by the manufacturer of the shock absorber, a shop assistant can also help you). Can provide several ride and suspension adjustment options. Requires regular check-up and is also more demanding to service. Compared to the spring one, it is significantly lighter.

29” wheels

The advantage is better terrain passability, better rolling and traction. However, they are heavier, which also applies to tires.

How we ship bikes

All bicycles at the MTBIKER shop are new, not-ridden, from an official distributor and with a full warranty. Several brands even offer a lifetime warranty on the frame after registration. We perform all warranty services in MTBIKER stores after personal delivery or after sending the bike (or its part) by courier.

Our bike shipment is as follows:

The bicycle is taken out of the manufacturer's box
The bicycle is assembled, inspected and adjusted (front and rear derailleur, shock, fork, wheels,...)
The bicycle is carefully packed back into a box and shipped
If you order a bicycle for in store pick up or home delivery, the bicycle will be waiting put together, checked and ready to use for you.
If you order a bicycle via courier to your home address, the following must be done at home:
1. Take the bike out of the box and carefully remove safety material and foils
2. Mount handlebar to stem (1 minute, 4 or 5 mm hex hey is needed).
3. Mount front wheel to fork (1 minute, without the need of any tools if the bike has a quick release).
4. Loosen the screws in the headset, straighten the stem with the front wheel, tighten the upper screw on the fork and then tighten the headset (2 minutes, 4 or 5 mm hex key is needed).
5. Mount the pedals to the cranks while lubricating the thread and carefully mounting it the right way (1 minute, 8 mm hex key or 15 mm wrench).
6. Mount seatpost to frame (10 seconds, without needing any tools if the frame has a quick link).
7. Inflate the tyres or fork and shock to desired pressure (2 minutes, pump needed).
8. Check the tightening of hex keys and quick-releases (2 minutes, 4 and 5 mm hex key is needed).
9. Go for a test drive! Handle your bicycle carefully until you get used to it. If the bike has disc brakes, their performance will be limited from now on - they will gain their full power after 4-5 strong brakes at higher speed.
