Ghost KATO Universal 29 bicycle
The model GHOST Kato Universal is a fast, versatile hardtail with a sporty geometry, which is suitable for cycle routes but can also handle difficult climbs in the terrain. The light aluminium frame is fitted with a Rock Shox Judy TK suspension fork with 100 mm travel, reliable TEKTRO hydraulic brakes, SHIMANO components with 3x9 gears, internalcabling and Czech MITAS tires. The frame is ready to mount mudguards, carrier or kickstand.Suitable not only for commuting, but also for weekend trips outside the city. You can ride on cycle paths, unpaved roads and in easy terrain. If you ride more demanding terrain or more frequently, you will need to fine-tune more often.
Aluminium frame
Lighter, relatively durable and stiff material that is affordable. The most widespread material for the production of bicycle frames.
Hydraulic disc brakes
Reliable in all conditions, better modulation of the braking effect with the use of less force on the lever. Heavier weight, more demanding service.
Coil fork
Provides adequate comfort and is usually installed on bicycles for recreational and less demanding riding. The disadvantage is its relatively heavy weight.
29” wheels

We perform all warranty services in MTBIKER stores after personal delivery or after sending the bike (or its part) by courier.
- The bicycle is taken out of the manufacturer's box
- The bicycle is assembled, inspected and adjusted (front and rear derailleur, shock, fork, wheels,...)
- The bicycle is carefully packaged back into a box and shipped
- If you order a bike for in-person pick-up or home delivery, the bike will be waiting for you assembled and checked
- If you order a bicycle via courier to your home address, the following must be done at home:
- Take the bike out of the box and carefully remove safety material and foils
- Mount handlebar to stem (1 minute, 4 or 5 mm hex hey is needed).
- Mount front wheel to fork (1 minute, without the need of any tools if the bike has a quick release).
- Loosen the screws in the headset, straighten the stem with the front wheel, tighten the upper screw on the fork and then tighten the headset (2 minutes, 4 or 5 mm hex key is needed).
- Mount the pedals to the cranks while lubricating the thread and carefully mounting it the right way (1 minute, 8 mm hex key or 15 mm wrench).
- Mount seat post to frame (10 seconds, without needing any tools if the frame has a quick link).
- Inflate the tires or fork and shock to desired pressure (2 minutes, pump needed).
- Check the tightening of hex keys and quick-releases (2 minutes, 4 and 5 mm hex key is needed).
- Go for a test drive! Handle your bicycle carefully until you get used to it. If the bike has disc brakes, their performance will be limited from now on - they will gain their full power after 4-5 strong brakes at higher speed.

I'm looking at the gears on this bike. I don't like the range of chainrings used and the cassette with the rear derailleur options.
According to the description, the largest front "saw" has 44 teeth and the smallest 22.
The cassette has 36 teeth on the largest cog and 11 on the smallest. In the description for the derailleur used (Shimano RD-M3100-SGS), the manufacturer states: "Total capacity - 45T".

I tried to calculate: (44 - 11) + (36 - 22) = 33 + 14 = 47.
According to my calculations, either the rear derailleur should have a total range of 47 teeth; that is, two more than the component manufacturer states, or the largest "saw" should have two teeth less, or the smallest front chainring should have two teeth more, or the largest cog on the cassette should have two teeth less, so that the derailleur "covers" that total range.
Where did the comrades from the GDR make a mistake?
Or am I stupid and miscalculated?
Otherwise, if it worked, the range would be fine; both uphill and on the flat...I myself was considering a similar conversion of my gears.

Dobrý deň,
veru máte pravdu, bicykel je osadený v špecifikácii, kedy je to mierne nad hranicou, ktorú udáva Shimano ako kompatibilnú. Každopádne samozrejme prevodový systém bude fungovať spoľahlivo, problém bude jedine pri krajných (extrémnych) polohách/kombináciách prevodov - tipoval by som, že napr. stredná píla-najväčší pastorok a pod.
Takže ak hľadáte podobnú kombináciu aj pre Váš bicykel, tak to môžete vyskúšať, pripravíte sa tak jedine o niekoľko kombinácií prevodov Ale samozrejme ťažko s istotu odhadovať, či to je špecifikom len tohto modelu prehadzovačky, ďalšie modely s odlišným tvarom ramienka a pod. sa môžu pri krajných polohách správať zase mierne odlišne.
