Zipp 353 NSW Tubeless Disc-brake wheelset These wheels combine Zipp's two most advanced wheel design concepts – Sawtooth rim profile and Total System Efficiency (TSE) technology. They provide a holistic approach to wheel performance.
With a 45mm deep, undulating rim profile, the 353 NSW is fast on any terrain. It provides best-in-class aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability. The 353 NSW is Zipp's lightest tubeless wheelset to date, so it's ready to fight its way into breakaways. The hookless rim design allows for a smoother, more aerodynamic transition between tire and rim. This design also allows for more efficient resin distribution in the rim material, meaning lighter wheels. They are also highly durable.
The Sawtooth rim shape of the 353 NSW wheels with Hyperfoil technology optimizes aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability. The undulating Sawtooth shape also allows the rim to be structurally strong yet lightweight. For riders, this means fast corner exits and maintaining high speeds regardless of terrain, especially in steep and energetic sections.
The 353 NSW utilizes Total System Efficiency (TSE) technology. This is Zipp's specific approach to wheel design, aiming to overcome specific barriers to maximum speed: wind resistance, weight (gravity), rolling resistance, and vibration losses from the surface. The 25mm internal rim width is ideal for using wider tubeless tires at lower air pressures for a more efficient ride.
The 353 NSW wheels are laced to Cognition V2 hubs, which have been upgraded with a redesigned Axial Clutch V2 ratchet mechanism. The result is faster engagement and lower friction, as well as improved durability.
