Newmen Advanced SL Carbon XA30 29" MTB rim, 28 holes
ADVANCED SL XA30 carbon rim - minimum weight, maximum performance. The NEWMEN Advanced SL XA25 and XA30 carbon rims are the successors to our proven Advanced SL X.22 rim. We set out to create XC wheels that are as fast as possible while maintaining a reasonable price.
An important factor when chasing seconds is rim width. The correct rim width is required to ensure low tire pressure. This allows for maximum grip with minimal rolling resistance and a reduced risk of rim impacts. Our testing concluded that for XC purposes, 25mm internal width is ideal for tires up to 2.2" and 30mm rims are ideal for tires from 2.25" and up.
By optimizing the wall thickness around the entire rim profile, we were able to achieve a superior strength-to-weight ratio. The high resistance of the rim flanges allows it to be used even on lightweight trail bikes. The shallow rim profile provides comfort and grip while maintaining quick acceleration and response.
