Vests for ski mountaineering

Clothing for ski mountaineering or ski tourism must meet some contradictory properties. High breathability and low weight for intense upward movement, and just as much wind protection and thermal insulation for downhill. A practical alternative to a ski mountaineering jacket is a vest that protects the body from the wind or insulates it and protects it from the cold. Such a vest can be either a compact and light clothing accessory when it gets cold, or a full-fledged replacement for a jacket in nicer weather and milder temperature.
