The ORTOVOX FREERIDE LONG SOCKS COZY M for men will meet all your needs with ease, equipped with a range of subtle yet highly functional features, thanks to which your feet will stay warm and comfortable even during the most extreme descents or ascents.

Special socks for adverse conditions

The ORTOVOX FREERIDE LONG SOCKS COZY M for men are ready for challenging ascents, brisk descents, and cozy evenings in the mountain hut. Thanks to Merino wool with a fiber thickness of 21.5 microns, they are elastic, stable, and durable. The sole is knitted with the special MERINO TERRY technology, which guarantees you even greater comfort and thermal insulation. The system of reinforced soft zones ensures that the socks will not press and will protect your feet from pressure points and blisters.

Your feet have never felt better on the slopes or in the hut

Whether you ski all day in powder or climb challenging terrain, the ORTOVOX FREERIDE LONG SOCKS COZY M will always be comfortable and keep your feet warm and cozy. Thanks to the special construction of the MERINO TERRY knitting pattern, they will provide you with comfort and excellent thermal insulation in any adverse conditions.

Special knitting, each zone serves its purpose

They are made using seamless knitting technology, which means they are knitted in a circle, so they have no seams that would press on you in your boots. You will find zones with different types of knit, with each zone, whether on the foot or shin, offering what you need most:

  • Toes with flat seams to eliminate blisters.
  • Reinforced heel and toe for better comfort and longer durability.
  • Extremely soft and warm sole made of MERINO TERRY material.
  • Anti-slip fibers in the foot area - Better grip in boots or ski boots.
  • The sock is ergonomically shaped for the right and left foot separately.
  • Ergonomically shaped ankle and arch support, so the sock does not slip down.
  • Padding in the shin area - for all-day comfort on skis.
  • Comfortable elastic cuff for easy donning.
  • Gentle compression in the calf area.

Comfort thanks to Merino wool

The particularly fine Merino wool with a thickness of 21.5 microns is pleasant against the skin and makes the socks elastic and stable. Especially on multi-day tours with overnight stays in mountain huts, the properties of Merino wool will be evident, as it naturally regulates temperature and moisture, dries quickly, and neutralizes unpleasant odors.

Highest quality Merino wool

ORTOVOX uses only the highest quality Merino wool from Tasmania. Merino wool is a material that degrades negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years. Merino wool comes only from selected farms that meet the strict ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP) standards.

  • ORTOVOX sources new Merino wool from certified sheep farms that adhere to ethical animal welfare principles.
  • Only wool from Tasmanian sheep meets the demanding requirements of the ORTOVOX brand in terms of quality.

These farms are regularly monitored within the OWP. The wool itself is 100% ecological, and therefore also extremely environmentally sustainable. Merino wool provides perfect comfort and a soft feel thanks to the fine fibers from which fine wool yarns are made. Furthermore, this wool excellently regulates temperature and wicks away sweat, so you will feel comfortable in any conditions. In addition, thanks to its antibacterial effects, Merino wool neutralizes odors and is very easy to care for.

This legendary German company named Ortovox has been specializing in challenging mountain activities since 1980. They became popular, thanks to their avalanche transceiver ORTOVOX F2. It had a double frequency transceiver for searching avalanche victims. Except for safety systems and finders, they also offer apparel, backpacks, shovels, probes, and other freeride and alpine equipment.
