The latest addition to the TRAILFLY ultra-trail family arrives as a happy medium for all runners who are afraid of the zero drop on which the TRAILFLY G 270 model is built and do not need as robust cushioning as the TRAILFLY ULTRA G 300 offers.
The two hundred and eighty offers parameters that will suit the vast majority of trail running and ultra-trail enthusiasts.
The upper is very spacious. Stretched on our widest last (5), which is significantly more spacious in the arch and toe area than the standard width in most running shoes from other brands. To prevent any chafing, we have chosen a seamless structured knit construction. On the one hand, it is firm and stable when securing the foot inside the shoe, and on the other hand, it is highly breathable and flexible, so it won't press or chafe anywhere.
The cushioning layer has a thickness of 22 millimeters with an 8-millimeter drop. The cushioning is therefore comfortably sufficient to support you even on very long runs, but it is not so extremely high that it would be clumsy and slow on shorter, snappier runs. The FLYSPEED foam used lives up to its name. Light, comfortable, and with a very high energy return, it will propel you with every step. In combination with the patented ADAPTER-FLEX feature - a transverse split of the midsole, which you know from the TRAILFLY ULTRA G 300 model - the two hundred and eighty offers unparalleled flexibility and ground feel for its level of cushioning.
Reliable grip is ensured by the proven TRAILFLY outsole made of G-GRIP graphene rubber. This tread is perfectly suited for diverse trail environments, where you will encounter everything from asphalt sections and gravel to roots and rocks.
