Na Chrbte: A book about those who put a little more effort into it
This is not a book of legends, heroes, stickers, and it is not an encyclopedia of porting. It is mainly a book of views and experiences of diverse people who like mountains and decided to carry, and sometimes put a little more on their shoulders.
But how not to heroize and glorify, not to make caricatures and clichés, but to capture the carrier community in its diversity of opinions, personalities, and personalities? Include stories, but not bury yourself in nostalgia, and airily talk about what constitutes the essence of carrier?
We went to the hills and valleys to find out. Porters, cabin girls and leaders let us into the "kitchen". We listened, we got up in the dark, we accompanied them on take-outs, lay-downs and in civilian clothes.
With consent and willingness, we did what should not be done - ask the porters anything during the delivery - and thus caused the longest delivery in the history of the Tatras. Sorry Pista ;)
The bloated content in 10 stands, sorry chapters, and a lot of interesting facts, historical facts, photo stories and illustrated instructions are a guarantee that it will again be more of an archive piece than a practical guide.
