These are the main advantages of Smart 2.0. Using Smart 2.0 when belaying significantly increases your safety. Ingeniously simple construction without movable cams and joints. Ingenious cutouts in the body of the belay device, together with the HMS carabiner, form the self-locking mechanism itself. Thanks to this, the fuse is pleasantly small, light and at the same time reliable.
Mammut Smart HMS carabiner :
Carabiner with plastic position fixator in the seat. Thanks to this, the carabiner cannot get in the way and always fulfills its function 100%. The fixer also acts as a safety device against unintentional unscrewing of the lock safety. At the same time, it indicates its correct locking.
Mammut Smarter preparation:
The Smarter device is used to learn proper rope feeding habits during belaying. The product can be removed from the dispenser at any time.
Notice:
The belay person must always have control of the belay rope. When lowering, pressing the lever upwards releases the rope and the lowering then proceeds as follows: by the bucket. The advantage is that the rope constantly passes through our palm, so it is always under control.
