Push the boundaries of what's possible with the SCOTT Patrol E2 38 Kit Avalanche Backpack. It includes the lightest airbag system on the market, the Alpride E2. It is equipped with the most modern supercapacitor technology and has a flatter design. The backpack was born for long expeditions.Alpride E2:
The new electronic airbag system combines multiple benefits into one product. The main advantages are fast airbag inflation (3 - 4 sec), repeated use, charging and maintaining the supercapacitor in standby mode thanks to two AA batteries, charging via USB-C connector, temperature resistance thanks to supercapacitor technology and trouble-free travel by plane as the backpack does not contain Li-ion batteries or explosive substances.
The TŰV has set the airbag volume at min. 150l, Alpride E2 has 162 litres. The Pressure Relief Valve electronically releases the valve 3 minutes after activation and the air from the cushion begins to leak, which in the event of a burial creates space and air for the buried person even under the snow. Compared to the ALPRIDE E1 system, the E2 offers a clear display, thanks to which you will always know exactly what state the capacitor is charged in and what state the AA batteries are in. The buttons for turning on and releasing the system have also been updated, which has increased safety.
