Pertex® Quantum – water and wind resistant

Pertex® Quantum material is a densely woven material made of recycled polyamide, which is windproof and highly breathable at the same time. Thanks to its ripstop weave, it is resistant to abrasion and snagging, even though it is soft and supple to the touch. It is very light and comfortable to wear. The vest is reversible and you will find Pertex® Quantum material on both sides.

SWISSWOOL® – a story of renewed sheep farming in Switzerland

Natural resources are often better materials than any synthetic. The wool of Swiss sheep is an example of this. While not as fine as Merino, ORTOVOX decided to use its potential for insulation layers, significantly helping sheep farming and local farmers with their idea.

SWISSWOOL® is a comfortable insulation made from Swiss wool fibers. These are placed in individual panels of the jacket, so they stay in place and do not shift. This wool insulation is ideal for active movement, as wool absorbs up to 35% of moisture into its core, so you feel dry even during high physical activity. You can use the ORTOVOX PIZ GRISCH VEST W women's vest as an outer layer and you don't have to worry about wet snow or drizzle. At the same time, it replaces softshell because it is windproof. You can also use it as an insulated vest under hardshell and it also excellently replaces a fleece vest, and is even lighter.

However, the main idea behind reversibility in the SWISSWOOL LIGHT line is functionality. The wool insulation layer excellently absorbs sweat and wicks it away from the skin. However, moisture is absorbed gradually, so when you stop, simply turn the jacket with the dry side towards your body and you will immediately feel comfortable. In the meantime, the sweaty side will dry.
