Pertex® Quantum - resistance to water and wind

The Pertex® Quantum material is a densely woven material from recycled polyamide that does not blow out and is also highly breathable. Thanks to its ripstop weave, it is resistant to abrasion and tearing, even though it is soft and pliable to the touch. It is very light and pleasant to wear.

SWISSWOOL® – the story of renewed Swiss sheep breeding

Natural resources are often better materials than any synthetics. The hair of Swiss sheep is an example of this. Although it is not as soft as Merino, ORTOVOX decided to use its potential for insulating layers and with its idea significantly helped sheep breeding and local farmers.

SWISSWOOL® is a comfortable insulation made from strips of Swiss wool. These are placed in the individual panels of the jacket, thanks to which they stay in place and do not move. This wool insulation is ideal for active movement, because wool absorbs up to 35% of moisture into its core, so you feel dry even during high physical activity. Moreover, compared to synthetic insulation material, it degrades only negligibly and retains its properties for many years.

Perfect and great looking thermal shorts

You can use the ORTOVOX PIZ BOÈ SHORTS as an outer layer and you don't have to worry about wet snow or drizzle. At the same time, they are resistant to wind, so they will protect you perfectly even in bad weather conditions. You can also use them as an insulating layer under hardshell pants. You like them most during winter activities such as ski mountaineering, ski touring and freeride.

Zone construction

Comfort and freedom of movement are supported by MERINO NATURTEC LIGHT stretch panels, which are located on the side of the thighs from the outside. On the inside of the panels is combed Merino wool, for better moisture absorption and comfort. The belt is made of two layers of MERINO NATURTEC LIGHT stretch material, between which there is a channel for a drawstring with a plastic clip.

You simply put on and take off

Women's PIZ BOÈ SHORTS have zippers on both sides of the thighs. Both zippers are fully unfastened, thanks to which you can put on or take off the shorts quickly and easily at any time without the need to take off or get out of the binding. You can also use them as an insulating layer for the descent - on the summit or in the saddle, you can put them on in a few seconds and enjoy the descent without feeling the cold wind. They are an ideal companion during cold windy days, when you often wear them while climbing to the top.

This legendary German company named Ortovox has been specializing in challenging mountain activities since 1980. They became popular, thanks to their avalanche transceiver ORTOVOX F2. It had a double frequency transceiver for searching avalanche victims. Except for safety systems and finders, they also offer apparel, backpacks, shovels, probes, and other freeride and alpine equipment.
