The membrane that guards your body temperature

The unique Schoeller® C_change™ porous membrane is unique in that it can adapt its pores to your current physical activity. If you go uphill and you start to feel warm, the pores of the membrane expand (the breathability of the jacket increases) and close again when it cools down. The pores thus react to the change in your body temperature and adapt. The entire trousers are made of this stretch membrane and are complemented on the thighs with traditional wool loden with increased wind resistance. What the membrane does not have time to evaporate, you ventilate with the help of side ventilation zippers.

A modern combination of materials and cut

ORTOVOX PORDOI PANT combines modern synthetic materials and natural proven classics. The combination of wool and synthetics when properly processed offers excellent properties that you need, for example, on freeride, where you alternate between static and dynamic movement.

Merino wool on the inside absorbs moisture into its core and is dry on the surface. In addition, the entire trousers are resistant to wind and water. The traditionally produced wool loden on the thighs from Steiner increases wind resistance and complements the modern design of the trousers.

Integrated belt fastening with velcro, so that you are not pressed by a classic belt.
Merino lining is sewn on the inside of the entire pants to increase comfort.
Strap loop and ventilation zippers.
One of the two thigh pockets has an integrated plastic carabiner and is ready for an avalanche finder and the other for other small items.
Two classic front pockets.
The ends of the trousers are equipped with a snow collar with a silicone band, which prevents spontaneous rolling up.
The ankle areas are reinforced against being cut by an edged ski or kicked by cats.

ORTOVOX uses only the highest quality Merino wool from Tasmania. Merino wool is a material that degrades only negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years. Merino wool comes only from selected farms that meet the strict ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP) standards.

ORTOVOX obtains new merino wool from certified sheep farms that adhere to ethical principles of animal treatment .
Only wool from Tasmanian sheep meets the demanding requirements of the ORTOVOX brand.

These farms are regularly monitored as part of the OWP. The wool itself is 100% ecological and therefore extremely environmentally sustainable. Merino wool provides perfect comfort and a feeling of softness thanks to the thin fibers that make up fine woolen yarns. In addition, this wool perfectly regulates temperature and wicks away sweat, so you will feel comfortable in any conditions. In addition, thanks to its antibacterial effects, Merino wool neutralizes odors and is very easy to care for.

This legendary German company named Ortovox has been specializing in challenging mountain activities since 1980. They became popular, thanks to their avalanche transceiver ORTOVOX F2. It had a double frequency transceiver for searching avalanche victims. Except for safety systems and finders, they also offer apparel, backpacks, shovels, probes, and other freeride and alpine equipment.
