Outer Material - DRILITE® LOFT 30 D

The DRILITE ® LOFT 30 D outer material is durable, lightweight, and water-resistant. It has a PU coating and a DWR water-repellent finish on the surface, which further helps to keep the down dry even in damp conditions. The down is thus protected from moisture and consequently from losing its thermal insulation properties. Thanks to its water resistance and low weight, the down maintains high loft for maximum thermal insulation in any conditions.

High-Quality Duck Down with 700+ Fill Power

Very high-quality duck down from China contains at least 90% down, has a minimum fill power of 700 cuin, and complies with the ethical DOWN CODEX®. The down is gently cleaned with water without chemical treatment. This reduces mites and their living environment, which is beneficial for allergy sufferers. The down retains its important natural oils and loft, is highly compressible, offers excellent insulation, and is lightweight.

"Baffle-by-Baffle" Approach

Each chamber contains a precisely calculated amount of down for minimum weight and maximum warmth. This innovative "baffle-by-baffle" approach was developed by Matt Fuller, who is the only person in the outdoor industry with a PhD in down research. This approach considers the needs of each part of the body separately. Therefore, Matt Fuller also calculated the precise down density for each chamber individually.

Combination of Trapezoidal and Slanted Baffles

Thanks to the combination of trapezoidal and slanted baffles, the sleeping bag offers excellent thermal insulation. The trapezoidal baffles, shaped like trapezoids, and the slanted baffles minimize heat loss through the seams and keep the down in place, preventing migration within the chambers. Heat is retained in the sleeping bag by eliminating thermal bridges at the seams through which heat escapes.

Anatomically Shaped 5-Chamber Hood

The hood is shaped to protect the head even without tightening. The 5 chambers with higher down density protect the head from heat loss, ensuring a comfortable sleep. The higher down density prevents down migration and moisture penetration deeper into the chamber. If you need to tighten the hood, it's not a problem. The shape of the drawcords tells you exactly whether you are tightening the upper part of the hood (flat drawstring) or the lower part of the hood (round drawstring).

The Sleeping Bag Foot Box is Trapezoidally Shaped

The toe area is raised and extended forward like a shark fin.

Thanks to this ergonomic shape, you don't press the chambers in the foot area with your feet, and the insulating properties that keep your feet warm are not lost. The foot box is made of the warmest V-baffles with high down density and is so complex that it is manufactured separately and then sewn onto the sleeping bag. The higher down density prevents down migration and moisture penetration deeper into the chamber.

Protective Collar

To prevent heat from escaping the sleeping bag, there is a 3D down-filled collar on the inside that fills the space around the shoulders and neck. This effectively seals the sleeping bag. The collar has a lower down density to conform precisely to the shape of your shoulders and neck. Everything is secured by the Lode Lock™ magnetic snap, which you can intuitively fasten and unfasten with one hand.

Insulated Draft Tube Under the Zipper

The zipper is often the weakest point of sleeping bags. The triangular draft tube is filled with down and synthetic insulation, which fits snugly against the sleeping bag. The synthetic insulation prevents the down from shifting along the draft tube and also insulates when wet. The zipper is located in the lower half of the sleeping bag so that rising heat does not escape through the zipper.

YKK® Zipper with Auto-Lock

You won't experience the unpleasant feeling of waking up in the middle of the night with a loose zipper in a Mountain Equipment sleeping bag, because the zipper has a lock and won't open on its own. By simply pulling, you release the lock and can unzip the sleeping bag whenever you want.
