The main advantage of fluorine gels is their easy and fast application - you do not need an iron. You can use the gels alone or as an additional coat on another fluorine product to improve slip. Gels are mainly used in short races, e.g. sprint or in races with freshly fallen snow. Depending on the conditions, one applied layer of gel lasts 10-15 km.
