Hybrid GORE-TEX® construction
We wanted to develop a light but at the same time very durable jacket for climbers. TUPILAK ATMO is exactly like that. The parts in the shoulder area are made of durable membrane GORE-TEX® PRE softness 40 D. Despite the fact that the jacket looks very soft, you don't have to be afraid to use it in difficult conditions.
The majority of the jacket is made of GORE-TEX ® PACLITE ® PLUS. It is a 2.5 layer membrane material. Its main advantage is very low weight. Compared to classic GORE-TEX® clothing , the TUPILAK ATMO JACKET is much lighter and has an incomparably smaller volume when packed. However, the waterproof properties remain as we are used to with other GORE-TEX® products. The word PLUS in the name indicates a higher version of the PACLITE® technology, which makes the jacket much more pleasant and you will feel absolutely great in it.
A perfectly fitting hood over the helmet
The TUPILAK ATMO jacket has the most perfect hood from our offer. The Super Alpine HC Hood has an anatomical shape, can be pulled down, reinforced visor, high collar up to the nose will protect you in really extreme weather. You won't have a problem even with a combination of a helmet, a down jacket, and a TUPILAK jacket. The individual segments create a perfect shape and the hood will follow you when you move your head. Your field of vision will always be great.
The most perfect seams
Little things make a big difference. Seams of selected Mountain Equipment hard shell jackets, including the GANDIVA JACKET, are sewn using smooth seams. You won't see any threads on the outside of the jacket. A jacket sewn in this way will last much longer, because the seam threads do not rub against the backpack, rock and other materials. Even this sophisticated method of production is a guarantee of a long service life for you and that we really pay attention to the quality and refinement of our products.
The perfect shape of the sleeves from the shoulder to the wrist
The sleeves of the TUPILAK ATMO JACKET are made of one piece with inserts placed so that the sleeve is natural in every position and does not restrict you in any movement. The cuffs of the sleeves are slanted, so they fit perfectly regardless of movements and at the same time protect against snow, wind and rain much better than straight cuts.
Zips that really don't get wet
Underarm ventilation is equipped with waterproof YKK® WR zippers. For the pockets and the main zipper, we used the highest model range of the renowned YKK® brand, specifically the AquaGuard® type. If water should still get through the zipper, there is a strip of GORE-TEX® fabric on the inside, after which the water flows down and continues out through a small opening at the bottom of the zipper. Thoughtful, right? The all-over zip of the jacket is two-way and has a patent lock at the bottom. When belaying, you unbutton the lower part of the jacket and secure it with a zip under the belay.
