3-layer DRILITE® STRETCH stretch membrane

Each part of the ORBITAL WOMENS JACKET is made of the new 3-layer DRILITE® STRETCH 20D stretch membrane. Thanks to this, it weighs almost nothing, but it is waterproof, breathable and, moreover, stretchable in all four directions.
DRILITE® STRETCH is a hydrophilic, monolithic polyurethane membrane that has all three important properties – water resistance, breathability and abrasion resistance, and it is also fully stretchable. Its water column is 20,000 mm, and in terms of breathability, water vapor permeability reaches a value of 35,000 g/sqm/24, making it one of the most breathable membranes on the market.
The membrane works on the principle of water vapor transport through the molecular structure of the membrane and at the same time forms a barrier against the passage of water molecules from the outside. The advantage of this membrane is its low weight and good packability.

Helmet hood and two large pockets

There are situations when it is impossible to do without a hood. Especially when it's windy or raining. The ORBITAL WOMENS JACKET hardshell jacket has a Mountain HC Hood type hood, which is compatible with a climbing helmet. It is equipped with a reinforced peak and the hood can be adjusted so that it fits perfectly even without a helmet. The drawstrings of the hood are sewn into the channels so that they don't bother you in the wind.
You will also appreciate two large pockets with waterproof YKK® zippers, which can easily fit gloves, a camera, a pencil or anything you want to have immediately at hand.

The most perfect seams

Small details make a big difference. Mountain Equipment hardshell jackets are sewn using smooth seams. You won't see any threads on the outside of the jacket. A jacket sewn in this way will last much longer, because the seam threads do not rub against the backpack, rock and other objects. Thanks to this, the absorption of moisture into the seam threads is also prevented, making the jacket even more resistant to getting wet. In addition, all seams are taped with waterproof tapes.

The perfect shape of the sleeves from the shoulder to the wrist

The sleeves of the ORBITAL WOMENS JACKET are made of one piece with inserts placed so that the sleeve is natural in every position and does not restrict you in any movement. The cuffs of the sleeves are slanted, so they fit perfectly regardless of movements and at the same time protect against snow, wind and rain much better than straight cuts.

Waterproof YKK® zippers

The ORBITAL WOMENS JACKET is fastened using a two-way YKK® Aquaguard® zipper. This is the highest model range of this renowned zipper manufacturer. Two pockets and underarm ventilation are equipped with YKK® WR zippers. Despite the fact that these are waterproof zippers, make sure that you don't keep things in your pockets that can't stand moisture in heavy rain. For example, a mobile phone. The jacket's fully unzipped zipper is two-way and there is a patent lock at the bottom. If you put on the jacket all the way to the stand and if you don't want to put it under the harness, then you unbutton the lower part of the jacket and fasten it with a zipper under the fastener.
