DIRECT ALPINE GUIDE 9.0 jacket

The GUIDE 9.0 men's hardshell jacket is designed for demanding mountain conditions, where reliable protection against wind, rain and snow is key. A slanted central skeleton zipper with two sliders and a high collar protecting the face, including the nose, reduce the penetration of adverse weather, while an inner pleasant layer in the collar protects the membrane from damage from whiskers and increases comfort. Holes in the collar make it easier to breathe when fully fastened.

The large, three-way adjustable hood is designed to be pulled over a helmet and also allows the jacket to be packed compactly into a backpack. Long side vents are easily accessible even through backpack straps and allow access to the pockets of lower layers. The combination of more durable fabric in stressed areas and thinner fabric in less stressed zones delivers a balanced ratio of durability, extreme breathability, and low weight. In the new version 9.0, some of the material is recycled.

The well-thought-out pocket system includes a large front pouch pocket for gloves, belts or goggles, an internal zip pocket for valuables and an additional sleeve pocket with a Recco® signal reflector. The reinforced extended back section with an elastic element in the waist area ensures a snug fit of the jacket without restricting movement, complemented by a bottom circumference adjustment. Wide cuffs with a large Velcro buckle and elastic at the bottom make it easy to pull the sleeves over the gloves. A number of reflective elements, including the central zipper, increase safety when moving at night. Fully taped seams guarantee maximum protection against adverse weather.
