SKYLOTEC CLICK UP is an innovative semi-automatic belay device, developed especially for sport climbing. It is easy to use, intuitive and safe. It works without the need to operate any lever or moving parts and allows you to catch a fall simply by holding the free end of the rope in your hand.



It is designed for use with dynamic single ropes with a diameter from 8.6 mm to 10.5 mm. The CLICK UP belay device is lightweight, compact and allows belaying of the leader as well as the second on top-rope, with both hands working with the rope. In the event of the climber falling, the rope automatically locks in the belay device with the HMS carabiner, allowing the belayer to easily catch the fall. If it is necessary to lower a partner, simply apply slight pressure from the top of the belay device while controlling the free end of the rope. The belay device is patented and comes with a specific TONDO SGL HC HMS carabiner.

 

The TONDO SGL HC carabiner is hot-forged from duralumin for maximum strength and durability. It has wear-resistant anodizing and an ACL system (steel spring preventing the carabiner from rotating), which fixes its position in the belay loop of the harness and prevents cross-loading. Its nose has no notch so it doesn't snag when clipping and unclipping, and the fully oval profile at the rope contact points ensures better longevity.
