Petzl ABSORBICA Y TIE BACK fall absorber with carabiners
The ABSORBICA-Y TIE-BACK is a double lanyard with an integrated fall arrester and two intermediate loops for re-anchoring. It is designed for vertical progression on structures with large cross-sections and for moving along a safety line with intermediate anchor points. For users weighing between 60-140 kg including equipment. The TIE-BACK system allows the ends of the lanyards to be re-attached to fit around large cross-section structures. The lanyards are elasticated so as not to impede progression. It is ready for immediate use, equipped with two MGO connectors at the end of the lanyard and a Bm'D connector for attaching to the harness.
Absorbs shock energy in case of a fall:
- Progressive tearing of the webbing stitches absorbs fall energy and limits the impact force on the user
- For user weight from 60 to 140 kg including equipment
- Progressive tearing reduces slow tearing for light users
Compact size:
- Compact for easier handling
- The 150 cm version has elasticated lanyards to avoid impeding progression
- Durable fabric pouch with an opening system at each end protects the energy absorber from abrasion or dirt and allows for regular inspection of the absorber
Two installation options on the harness, depending on use:
- For frequent clipping/unclipping, use a STRING (included) or MICRO SWIVEL to prevent tangling
- For infrequent unclipping, use a RING OPEN connector, whose circular shape ensures optimal positioning, or a SWIVEL OPEN to prevent tangling
Two options at the ends of the lanyards:
- Comes with two special large-capacity MGO connectors and a STRING-protected Bm'D attachment carabiner
- Or without carabiners
