Petzl RAD LINE CORD hyperstatic cord, 6 mm, orange
The RAD LINE 6 mm is an ultra-lightweight and compact cord designed for ski touring and freeride skiing. It is used for rescue, rappelling, or tying in when crossing glaciers in crevassed areas. It is hyperstatic, supple, and has a rough sheath that ensures excellent grip and easy handling. It is available in two lengths: 30 and 60 meters.
Ultra-lightweight and compact:
- Only 22 grams per meter
- Lightweight and compact, so it is easy to carry in a backpack
Special sheath construction:
- Compatible with the TIBLOC rope clamp and MICRO TRAXION pulley thanks to its special sheath reinforced with HMPE material
- Supple cord with a rough sheath for excellent handling and better speed control when rappelling and braking when catching a fall into a crevasse
Hyperstatic:
- Static cord elongation of less than 2%, to facilitate and improve the efficiency of rescue maneuvers and also to eliminate the yo-yo effect when rappelling or catching a fall in a crevasse
- Allows the skier to tie in to cross crevassed zones
