Mammut Smart HMS 2.0 Screwgate carabiner
The Mammut Smart HMS is a carabiner with a so-called positioner. The plastic part on the carabiner serves to keep the carabiner in the correct position relative to the harness and belay device during belaying. This is very important and can prevent dangerous situations. The positioner cannot be closed unless the screwgate lock is screwed in. It therefore also serves as an indicator of correct carabiner locking during pre-climb checks.|
