For all wanderers on the windswept alpine, Patagonian, and Himalayan walls, here is the universal and variable X-Light ice axe from Camp. The X-Light is a very light, well-balanced, and durable ice axe for technical mountaineering. You stand at the end of the path, a couloir with spikes dug into the ice, contemplating the ascent of the final snow-and-ice slope. You proceed, and to overcome the edge, you use the ice axe plunged into the snow up to its head, thus securing a firm hold and rolling onto the snow plateau.
Separately, in the firn, you build a stance using the ice axe's adze, creating an anchor and belay point for your partner. Then, you ascend together towards the summit cross, enjoying a well-deserved rest. The X-Light ice axe differs from climbing axes by the angle of the shaft, which in this version is better for a smaller slope angle - for fast technical ascents/descents. The aluminum head allows for the mounting of both the adze (included as standard) and the hammer (CAMP X-Light Hammer). The opening in the head and the pick allows for the use of a standard leash, and the opening in the spike is large enough for attaching lanyards (X-gyro Leash). The three-piece handle provides several adjustment variations for perfect adaptation to the chosen terrain. The top of the X-Light ice axe pick is without teeth, so when resting on the terrain, gloves are not damaged. The X-Light is the most versatile ice axe for classic technical mountaineering of all difficulties.
