Grivel G12 LT DUALMATIC EVO crampons, yellow

The Grivel G12 LT Dual-Matic EVO are classic 12-point crampons designed for demanding high-mountain hiking, glacier ascents, and easier ice and mixed climbing routes. Compared to the previous G12 model, they feature a redesigned front and rear section and a new connecting link. This, along with LT technology, reduces weight while maintaining high durability. In comparison to Grivel G10 crampons, they have sharper and longer points in the second row, which penetrate hard ice better and increase confidence when moving on steep terrain.

The front points are shaped to hold firmly in ice and snow, minimizing the risk of slipping during traverses. The rear section with multiple teeth and notches facilitates secure descents in technical terrain. The asymmetrical design for the left and right foot improves boot fit and comfort during extended use. The connection between the front and rear sections via the Grivel LINK BAR allows for easy length adjustment according to boot size, and for smaller sizes, the link can be rotated 180 degrees.

The Dual-Matic EVO binding system offers both automatic and semi-automatic attachment options. The semi-automatic version combines a classic front bail with a quick-release lever at the back. By changing the front bail, the crampons can be adapted for rigid boots with a heel welt or for ski touring boots. An integrated Antibott system on the underside flexes with each step, actively preventing snow buildup. Thanks to the Grivel Crampon System (G.C.S.), individual components can be replaced, allowing for precise customization of the crampons to suit specific needs. The crampons can be easily packed by sliding the front and rear sections into each other and folding the plastic retainers towards the crampon body.
