The Skylotec Be-Up is a versatile belay and rappel device with an innovative and compact design, suitable for a wide range of climbing activities, from sport climbing and multi-pitch routes to traditional mountaineering. It is designed for intuitive and easy use, with its modular braking system optimizing braking with all types of ropes. The specific body shape ensures smooth rope feeding without jamming, even when feeding the leader quickly. When belaying the leader with twin ropes, the Be-Up allows one rope to be fed while the other remains locked. In Guide mode, it allows independent hauling of one or two seconds with an automatic locking function in case of a fall. To release a loaded rope or lower a second, there is a release eyelet that simply requires inserting an HMS carabiner. V-grooves ensure effective control of braking force during fall arrest, rappelling, and hauling, while keeping the ropes separate and preventing twisting. A plastic-coated steel cable keeps the belay device in the optimal position and minimizes the risk of it falling.
