Petzl VERSO belay device, grey
Ultra-lightweight belay and rappel device. Used for belaying the leader, one or two seconds, and for rappelling. It is effective in all situations and usable with ropes of various diameters and types. Suitable for sport climbing.

Adaptable to a wide range of rope diameters:
- V-shaped friction grooves allow for braking control
- compatible with dynamic single ropes from 8.5 to 10.5 mm in diameter (11 mm possible, depending on rope flexibility)
- compatible with dynamic half ropes from 7.1 to 9.2 mm in diameter
- compatible with dynamic twin ropes from 6.9 to 9.2 mm in diameter
Durable and lightweight:
- rounded rope groove shape reduces wear and extends the life of the device
- compact and lightweight: only 55 g
