The ORTOVOX HAUTE ROUTE 30 S ski touring backpack, to which you can securely, quickly, and easily attach a lot of equipment. This gives you plenty of space in the backpack for clothing and other essentials. You open the ORTOVOX HAUTE ROUTE 30 S backpack with a circumferential back zipper – like a suitcase, and you always have convenient access to everything. Moreover, the backpack is extremely durable, and the front of the backpack is reinforced with NYLON 420D OXFORD material. You don't have to worry about sharp edges of skis, crampons, or ice axes.

Innovative Durable NYLON 420D OXFORD Material

The design of the HAUTE ROUTE 30 S backpack has been improved since winter 2020/21:

• It is made of NYLON 420D OXFORD material on the outside. The material is light and unusually resistant to abrasion and cuts.
• Together with the water-repellent treatment, the backpack's lifespan has been increased, but at the same time, the weight has been reduced compared to the previous model. The backpack can withstand really rough handling.

For the innovative O-FLEX-2 BACK SYSTEM, ORTOVOX developers collaborated with physiotherapists. The goal was to create a comfortable back system for all-day wear, and at the same time, ensure the backpack holds well even during descents. And they succeeded. The backpack literally becomes part of your body.

Practical Access to Your Gear

Put the backpack down in the snow without getting its back wet? No problem. The ORTOVOX HAUTE ROUTE 30 S backpack has access to the main compartment via a two-way zipper that runs along ¾ of the back. You can place the backpack face down in the snow and open it like a suitcase.



You can easily access all your items inside, even with equipment attached to the backpack. The light-colored inner material improves visibility and makes it easier to find things inside the backpack. Inside, there is also a buckle with a separate compartment for attaching a water reservoir. The back is covered with softshell, which repels snow. You can also access the main pocket through the top zipper opening.

7 + 1 Pockets

In addition to the main compartment, the backpack has seven other pockets:

• Separate pocket for shovel and probe. Equipment does not interfere and does not get your belongings wet, and it is readily available when needed.
• Top pocket for gloves, hat, goggles, and other accessories that you frequently take out and want to have at hand.
• Safety pocket inside the main compartment, suitable for storing documents, money, and other valuables.

Quick and Reliable Attachment of Skis or Snowboard

Options for attaching skis using the A-skifix or D-skifix systems, or a snowboard. For skis, it's up to you whether you attach them in the classic way or diagonally. With both attachments, you don't lose the ability to comfortably access the backpack and securely attach other equipment.

Helps in Critical Situations

The danger of avalanches is relentless, which is why a large part of the backpack's design is adapted for simple and quick use in stressful situations. Red zipper pulls mark the pocket for the avalanche probe and shovel. Inside, you will also find an image with signals and contacts for emergency communication. The chest strap includes an emergency whistle.

In a Short Back Version

This "S" version of the backpack is designed for people with a back length of 36 to 44 cm. However, the ORTOVOX HAUTE ROUTE backpack is also available in a version for those of you with a back length between 42 and 50 cm. The back length is measured from the 7th cervical vertebra to the upper part of the pelvis. The backpack is not only adjusted in back length but also features changes in the shape of the shoulder straps and adaptation of the hip belt. This ensures the backpack fits ideally and stays securely on your back.
