The large compartment with a zip and subsequent roll-top closure can easily hold your lunch box, a stored sweatshirt, or any shopping you might stop for on your way home from work. And if you need even more space, just zip up the backpack and don't roll it.
If you need to quickly pull something out of the organizer, you don't have to unzip the entire top opening. Simply unzip only the back part and take out what you need right now. The padded quilted back provides support, and the breathable mesh shoulder straps help wick sweat away from the body.
