Product description

Direct Alpine GUIDE 9.0 is a men's hardshell jacket designed as a reliable partner for demanding mountain conditions – from high-altitude hiking to ski touring and ice climbing. The slanted central skeleton zipper with two opposing sliders and a high collar protecting the face, including the nose, effectively prevent wind, rain, and snow from penetrating. The inside of the collar is complemented by a pleasant layer of material that protects the membrane from damage by zippers and increases comfort when fully zipped, while ventilation openings in the collar facilitate breathing.

The large technical hood with three-way adjustment can be worn over a helmet and also serves for easy packing of the jacket into a backpack. Long side ventilation zippers are easily accessible even with backpack straps and are designed to allow access to the pockets of lower layers. The combination of a stronger fabric in stressed areas (shoulders, sleeves, hood, back) and a thinner fabric in less exposed zones provides a balanced ratio of durability, extreme breathability, and weight. In the new 9.0 generation, part of the material is recycled, which changes the parameters of this part of the jacket.

The sophisticated pocket system includes a large front kangaroo pocket for gloves, straps, or goggles, an internal zip pocket for valuables, and an additional sleeve pocket with a Recco® signal reflector. The reinforced extended back with an elasticated waist ensures a snug fit that does not restrict movement, complemented by adjustment of the jacket's lower hem. The circumference of the sleeves is adjusted with a large Velcro patch and an elasticated hem, allowing for easy pulling over gloves. Numerous reflective elements, including the central zipper, increase safety when moving at night and, combined with 100% taped seams, provide reliable protection against adverse weather.
