Mountain Equipment Aerostat Down Mat inflatable mat
An inflatable mat that, thanks to innovative technology with 180 g of down inside, ensures that your insulation from the ground will work even at temperatures of -40 °C. Whether you will be sleeping in a tent, winter room, bivouac, or directly on snow and ice. Thanks to its low weight and excellent packability, it becomes essential equipment for all your overnight stays. All this and a mat thickness of 7 cm provides high comfort for a peaceful sleep.The mat is made of 30 denier Ripstop material, which is compressible, abrasion-resistant, and thanks to protective TPU lamination, it does not absorb moisture. It thus maintains a high degree of packability so that the mat does not take up too much space in the backpack.
All mats are tested to the new standard ASTM F3340. Mountain Equipment additionally states the "Good Night Sleep Guaranteed" value, which in this case is -40 °C. This value was measured during use in real conditions and takes into account factors such as wind and humidity.
Low weight, 7 cm thickness, high packability, and excellent insulation make the Aerostat Down mat suitable for year-round use from a tent to a bivouac on a glacier. It will provide you with insulation even at -40 °C and, thanks to its weight of 735 g (regular), it will hardly burden you.
Quality sleep is one of the basic requirements for full regeneration during every ascent. When sleeping in direct contact with a cold surface, you cool down 60 times faster than with the help of outside air, so it is essential to have quality insulation underneath you.

Inside the mat's chambers is very high-quality duck down. It comes from China and contains at least 90% down, its fill power is at least 700 cuin and it meets the ethical DOWN CODEX®

Vertical Helix baffle chambers, which are filled with a foam spiral inside, prevent unwanted movement of feathers inside the mat, which would lead to unwanted body cooling.
