Zipp 858 NSW ZR1 SL Carbon 28" Rear Wheel
The 858 NSW Carbon Tubeless model for disc brakes uses a hookless tubeless rim profile, which ensures a smooth transition between the tire and the rim, while significantly reducing weight. The 858 offers the advantages of high rims, but weighs like wheels with a 20 mm lower profile. The internal rim width of 23 mm is ideal for wider tires with lower pressure, leading to lower rolling resistance. TSE technology thus helps to overcome the four main enemies of speed: air resistance, gravity, rolling resistance, and vibration.The undulating Sawtooth profile with a height of 82–85 mm represents Zipp's most powerful design in terms of aerodynamics and crosswind stability. The result is pure speed – ideal for triathletes, time trialists, and all riders who want to ride at full speed. Although the set is optimized for tubeless tires, clincher tires can also be used without problems. It achieves the highest performance with 28 mm wide tires. In triathlon, wider tubeless tires with lower pressure increase comfort and speed, meaning less fatigue before the run.
The equipment includes the top-of-the-line ZR1 SL hub with ceramic bearings and 66 points of engagement for fast and precise power transfer.
