WTB Tire Protection - SG2
SG2 tire protection ensures excellent protection against punctures and flats, in addition to its low weight. Such tires have a high TPI value of 120 - the number of threads per inch, which expresses the density of fibers in the tire casing. This new protective layer is lightweight and features an ultra-thin nylon insert that covers the entire tire surface from bead to bead. This allows you to ride on any surface without fear of punctures.
How much more durable are the new SG2 tires? Laboratory tests show that the addition of the SG2 protective layer provides 33% better sidewall protection and 17% better tread protection than standard 60 TPI tires without SG2. Gravel rides are becoming more frequent and longer. Riders are not afraid of challenging terrain. That's why WTB offers durable tires that will support you on any surface.
