Compared to narrower tyres, they offer better traction, stability, and comfort. Plus size tyres are popular with riders who want better grip and control without the extreme tyre width of FAT bikes.

Common mountain bike tyre widths range from 1.9 to 2.6 inches, with wider options available for specific riding styles. Narrower tyres are generally faster on hard surfaces, while wider tyres provide more traction and stability on rougher terrain.
Check frame and fork clearance: Make sure the selected tyre size and width will fit the frame and fork of your bike. Different mountain bikes have different levels of clearance, especially in the area of the rear triangle and fork crown. Avoid tyre clearance issues that could cause friction or interference between the tyre and frame/fork.

If you are not sure about the size, or if the sizes are different than you would expect, there is an option to order multiple sizes to a brick-and-mortar store, try them on there, and take the one that fits. The advantage is that you receive a notification about it, and therefore they have exactly what you chose. The disadvantage is that you have to make the trip for it, but that cannot be avoided, so OK.

You can buy everything in one place

Communication with the store is very good, and it is also in a quite good location in Banská Bystrica. The goods I ordered were in the central warehouse, and in the afternoon they were already prepared for me at the store. The opening hours are an advantage.
