I've been driving Maxxis since 2020. I have to admit that in the tubeless version I only had one defect on them during that time (my own fault), otherwise I absolutely rely on their durability. I don't carry inserts, pressures around 1.6-2 bars. I give them proper bombs-shells, full-on rockgardens, jumps, transverse obstacles, I don't have to be afraid to drop it here and there. A few times I had the feeling that I had to start/cut them, but they did nothing.
They roll quite decently on the flat, it's not a galuska, but it's definitely not an anchor.
This model is more for dry conditions, I walk with it carefully on mud and gravel (I'm probably afraid , but I managed 5 hours of rain in the mountains with ease.
I bought the 2.4" width instead of the previous 2.6" to save weight. 2.4" actually has 910 g, 2.6" had 1180 g in the same configuration. 2.6" are a complete tank, but even in this smaller width, the passability is excellent.
