Minimalist, high-density foam grips have been standard on mountain bike handlebars for decades, where they have proven themselves wonderfully even in the most demanding conditions. Since Ritchey has so much experience and history with mountain bikes and gravel riding, we thought: "Why not take the same idea as mountain bike grips, make them longer, put them on gravel handlebars, and hit the trail?". We are glad we did - the result is amazing comfort on long rides in rough terrain or on extended weekend road trips.
The elastic and pliable high-density foam Gravel Grips are fitted to the ends of the drops and easily adapt to the curve of the handlebars and special features like the Bio-Bend on Ritchey VentureMax handlebars. How far up the stem they go is entirely up to you. Place them where they meet the levers, or shorten them as you wish, and wrap the rest of the way up the stem with tape. Or... anywhere in between.
They weigh only 50g, so they hardly add any weight to your setup. And with a thickness of 4mm, they offer plenty of cushioning without feeling too bulky.
