Finest Merino wool
ORTOVOX uses only the finest Merino wool from Tasmania for all its underwear. Merino wool is a material that degrades negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years. The length of all fibers used is at least 6 cm, which is not standard in the production of wool underwear. The longer the fibers, the stronger the yarns that can be obtained. This prevents holes from forming due to material wear. Fiber quality is determined primarily by its length, fineness, and the uniform diameter of individual fibers.ORTOVOX also has demanding criteria for sheep farming itself, which significantly affects the quality of their wool. To meet these, ORTOVOX buys wool only from selected farms that are subject to regular inspection. ORTOVOX checks 64 different quality criteria that each farm must meet. Thanks to this, the wool used in ORTOVOX underwear is of the highest quality.
