This bag with the Quick-Lock3.1 mounting system comes with the necessary pegs for luggage racks that have QL3.1 compatible mounting points. If you want to use the bag on a rack without an integrated QL3.1 holder, you will need a mounting kit. The mounting kit weighs only 140g and can be securely attached to any rack. ORTLIEB Quick-Rack racks come with all the necessary parts, you do not need pegs or a mounting kit.
The Gravel-Packs are essentially a lightweight version of the classic Sport-Rollers, but ORTLIEB has used a lighter material with Rip-Stop treatment, and removed details that are superfluous for bikepacking, such as internal pockets.
