The Limar AIR PRO helmet boasts an extremely innovative manufacturing process, where carbon fiber - thanks to its high mechanical resistance and low weight - becomes the heart of the helmet.
This increases the helmet's safety without reducing its weight.
CARBONCORETECH: 3K carbon combined internally with EPS provides the core with top-level resistance and is the main element of the Air Pro helmet.
Two structural wings connect to the shell's side ribs, creating a high-performance cage.
Previously used as a finish, 3K carbon is now molded with EPS in 5 layers, not as a simple film (just one or a maximum of two layers).
This is the same process used to build bicycle frames.
In this way, it achieves exceptional mechanical resistance, allowing for the use of the thinnest thickness.
Carbon now becomes the soul of the helmet, acting together with expanded polystyrene to create a high-performance cage in terms of safety and allowing for optimization of rider head ventilation and airflow aerodynamics around the helmet.
AERODYNAMICS: The pyramidal surface of the longitudinal ribs reduces impact pressure by cutting through the air and allowing for smooth gliding.
Very thin carbon wings allow for easy air intake and better circulation.
The extended tail prevents turbulence: Mathematical CFD simulation data integrated with wind tunnel tests prove a 20% increase in aerodynamic efficiency compared to the LIMAR Ultralight+ model, as demonstrated by several tests achieved on velodromes/wind tunnels (real-world environment tests with Astana team riders).
